What are Veneers?

Dental veneers (cosmetic dentistry procedure) are a possible solution to help you achieve the look you desire. They are a popular choice for those with chipped teeth, a gap between teeth, or misshaped teeth.

Dental veneers are thin covers that adhere to teeth to give teeth a more beautiful look.

At Taksim Clinic, we offer you a variety of dental veneers options to choose from. Talk to our dental team to find the best for you.

What is the dental veneer procedure?

To fit e-max veneers, a dentist will first remove some enamel and take an impression of the teeth to create a mold.

After this initial visit, they will send the mold to a laboratory that fabricates the custom-fit e-max veneers. The dentist may place temporary veneers on the teeth while a person waits for the laboratory to make the permanent ones.

At the next appointment, the dentist will test whether or not the veneers fit and are a good color, and they will make any adjustments as needed. Then, the dentist will bond the veneers to the teeth.

What Types of Problems Do Dental Veneers Fix?

Veneers are routinely used to fix:

  • Teeth that are discolored because of:

  • root canal treatment

  • stains from tetracycline or other drugs

  • excessive fluoride

  • large resin fillings

  • Teeth that are worn down

  • Teeth that are chipped or broken

  • Teeth that are misaligned, uneven, or irregularly shaped

  • Teeth with gaps between them (to close the space between these teeth)

What are the benefits of dental veneers?

The biggest benefit to veneers is improving the appearance of your teeth, giving you a brighter and more even smile

Veneers offer these advantages:

  • They provide a natural tooth appearance.

  • Veneers are stained resistant.

  • A color can be selected to make dark teeth appear whiter.

How to take care of your veneers?

Dental veneers do not require any special care. Continue to follow good oral hygiene practices, including brushing, flossing, and rinsing with an antiseptic mouthwash as you normally would.

How long do veneers last?

As with any dental restoration, we can offer average lifespans to help you know what to expect, but your results may vary. The average lifespan of veneers is 7 years, but it’s not uncommon for them to last more then 10 years with good care and maintenance.
